Welcome to the Dentista Smile Gallery. These are cases from Dr Carla Graneri. Many of the cases involve combinations of treatment, such as crowns, veneers, bridges, white fillings, root canals, extractions, implants, bone grafting and soft tissue grafting. I thought it would be important to include a small section about the photos. All these photos have been taken with a canon EOS R with a 100mm macro lens. I started out with a ring flash, but in 2025 moved to a dual flash. As much as possible the same camera angle and distance have been used. No photoshopping has been used here. What you see is what you get. I feel that a real life before and after will show you the realistic real world results that you are looking for.

As you have probably heard before, a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is true of finding the smile you want. Sometimes it is very difficult to articulate exactly what it is you're looking for in your desired smile, seeing different beautiful smiles can help us communicate and ensure we're on the same page.

Crowns, Implant, Composite

Opening the bite allowed us to return these teeth to better form and function. Treatment involved opening the bite, replacing the failing front tooth with an implant and bond graft, gum lifting, composite and ceramic restorations.

Very worn down teeth, built up with white filling material and hybrid ceramic-resin.

Ceramics, Implant

This lady wanted to improved the appearance of her smile. Underneath the existing fillings was a tooth that needed to be extracted and replaced with an implant, old yellow fillings that needed replacing, gaps that she preferred to close, and root canal treatment that needed to be done to get rid of infection.

The final result with ceramic crowns on the top teeth and ceramic for the bottom teeth.

Before and After Composite Rehabilitation

Fixing a collapsed bite with composite.

Composite is the preferred material choice here so the new bite can be trialed and refined before conversion to porcelain (if the patient would like to upgrade to porcelain at some stage).
